Polymer clay pancakes

Pancake week in the courtyard - it's time to bake pancakes! But the trouble is, pancakes always instantly diverge and only pleasant memories remain from them. We decided to make pancakes, which for a long time will remind of the Wide Shrovetide, as these will be pancakes made of polymer clay.
To make a pancake pancake souvenir souvenir, we need the following materials and tools:
- polymer clay (white, blue, red and burgundy);
- stacks or wooden sticks, brushes, toothbrush;
- dry pastel (yellow and brown);
- pink liquid polymer gel;
- wire (cross section 0.4 mm).
- stationery knife.

The main clay in the work is white; more will be required.
We tear off a piece of white clay and a small piece of blue, mix the colors and get such a light blue ball.

Flatten the ball and squeeze the middle with your fingers to get a small tray for future pancakes. The diameter of the tray is about 3.5 cm. With the tip of a brush or a stack, apply a picture along the edges of the tray - just extrude the points.

We roll the white plastic into a sausage and cut into five equal parts.

We roll each part into a cake, make sure that the cake has approximately the same diameter (in our country it is 3 cm).

Now we take a stack with a rounded end or work with the back of the brush - we stick a “pancake” along the edges, so as to give the cake the shape of a baked pancake. Here you can fantasize freely, making recesses of different sizes in the plastic, simulating the “bubbling” of the dough during baking.

Now it’s time to work with a toothbrush - with it we give the pancake a finely porous texture. After the brush, apply the brush again, and now the textured pancake is almost ready! So we make five pancakes.

We take the yellow and brown pastels and grind, slightly breaking off from them, do not mix colors.
With a large soft brush, apply yellow color, leaving white in some places.

Then with a brush with a stiff bristle we apply brown pastel not over the whole pancake, but imitating the “frying”.

For naturalness, we dip the stack into the pastel and “scroll” a hole in the pancake, the edges of which will be darker from this.

We put the painted pancakes on the tray as we like - we have four lying in a pile, and the fifth on top is folded.

You can decorate pancakes in different ways: you can crumble white plastic, imitating cottage cheese, you can put a piece of yellow and fill it with transparent gel, tinted with yellow pastel (it will be very similar to melted butter). Our pancakes will be decorated with cherry jam. To do this, we mix burgundy, red and a little white plastic, sculpt three tiny balls.

We give the balls the shape of cherries, for this we use a toothpick to prick the balls on one side, then we form a furrow along the side of the ball with a toothpick edge. We cut one ball in half and squeeze out the middle - there will be two halves of the cherry.

We attach cherries to pancakes on a thin wire.

We send pancakes to the oven for baking. We have white Kraft Clay plastic in our work and it is baked for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees. Cool the finished product, pour it with pink polymer gel, send it to the dryer and here is the finished result, which you just want to eat!
