Such a home-made stand is useful to everyone who conducts video filming at the workplace in the workshop during the manufacture of various crafts or workshops. And it will cost much cheaper than factory tripods.
The design itself consists of two parts: a movable pipe with holes for fixing the video camera at the desired height and a fixed one - which is attached to the table according to the principle of an ordinary clamp. To make a home-made camcorder stand you will need available materials that are almost always at hand.
The main stages of work
As a vertical stand, you can use a steel pipe with a diameter of 20 mm, in which you need to drill holes in 10 cm increments. The length of the stand is at your discretion. The fixed part of the structure, the length of which is 15-20 cm, is made from a pipe with a diameter of 30 mm.
Two plates with a width of 40 mm need to be welded to this pipe at a distance of 10 cm from each other. A hole is drilled in one of the plates, into which we screw a hairpin with a clamping “nickle”.
At the last stage of work, we use a grinder to clean the surface of the parts, and then paint with spray paint. To fix the movable part of the structure at the desired height, you can use a steel rod of a suitable diameter or a regular nail.
How to install a rack
We fasten the fixed part to the workbench, insert the vertical stand, fixing it at the required height, and a video camera is already attached to the edge of the stand. The assembly process can be seen in the video on the site.
