An old gas-powered blowtorch can easily be converted to a more convenient and practical gas burner if desired, which will reduce the cost of using this device.

First of all, it is necessary to disassemble the blowtorch into its component parts. We clear the burner of soot and soot. We screw a nut suitable for the thread onto the torch thread.

After that, you will need to take a hollow tube (for example, from the lamp), cut the thread at one end, and weld the other end to the wound nut. We process the welding joint with a grinder.

The main stages of work

Next, you need a wooden handle from a regular file, in which you should drill a hole for the diameter of the welded tube. We put the handle all the way to the metal tube.

At the next stage, we take a brass fitting and wind it onto a metal tube. For reliability of the threaded connection, we use a thread lock. After that, we put a hose on the fitting and securely fix it with a wire clip.

A similar operation with the fitting will need to be performed on the back of the hose. It remains to connect the hose to the propane cylinder, and test a homemade gas burner in operation.

As a result, with a minimum of effort, you can make a light and compact gas burner with adjustable flame power. For safety, it is better to install a gearbox between the hose and the propane tank.
