For high-quality sharpening of the saw blade on a circular saw (including a manual circular), you can use a home-made sharpening machine. Moreover, it is not difficult to make it.
The base of this machine and other parts are made of ordinary plywood. The design turned out to be quite compact and light (the main burden is the weight of the engine).
Design features
The motor itself is mounted on a separate platform, which moves along guides from a steel rod with a diameter of 8 mm. Linear ball bearings are worn on the rails.
In addition to the fact that the electric motor can be fed back and forth, it can also be set at an angle relative to the saw blade. That is, the platform on which the engine is installed is rotary.
The second part of this design - the platform on which the saw blade is located, is also "planted" on rails with bearings. At the same time, the platform itself allows you to change the angle of inclination.
Sharpening the saw blade
The process of sharpening the saw blade does not cause any difficulties. First, we install the platform with the engine at the desired angle, after which we bring the carriage with the disk, and each tooth begins to sharpen.
Then we expose the platform with the disk at the desired angle of inclination, and again we pass the teeth in a circle: first on one side, then on the other.
