Pendant or keychain for keys, which can be bought for a penny in any store, most often do not differ in anything remarkable. The usual beautiful trinket, and nothing more. However, this everyday accessory can be made truly original if you make it yourself.
A small wooden key chain in the shape of a heart is a great gift for a girl on her birthday or for any other reason. To make such an interesting craft, it is best to use different types of wood. For example, maple and walnut work very well together.
The main stages of work
The first thing you will need to download on the Internet and print out patterns of hearts that you like best. Moreover, it is desirable that the hearts themselves be of different sizes. One keychain will need three hearts. Using double-sided tape, we glue two bars between ourselves, we glue the cut out patterns on them.
Then we cut the wooden blanks on a pendulum or band saw. One of the hearts will need to be cut into two parts, so that later you can connect two halves of a different color into a single whole. In total, six blanks should be obtained - for two sets of trinkets.
We glue the halves of different colors, after which we process the parts on a belt grinder or manually, using sandpaper. Then it remains only to drill through holes for the chain or rope and cover the finished product with mineral oil.
