In the standard version, a screw jack is only capable of lifting the classic VAZ and Niva models. Front-wheel drive cars are too tough for this jack.
However, if you slightly modify the standard structure and strengthen it, then a screw jack can lift any passenger car.
True, it will fit only for garage use - in the trunk it will take up a lot of space.

The main stages of work
The first step from the eightieth channel will be to cut off five blanks.
One blank - 440 mm long, two blanks - 150 mm long and two blanks - 100 mm long.
From these blanks, the author welds the base pad. Then it will be necessary to weld the base of the screw jack to it.
At the next stage, we attach to the movable part of the jack a piece of a rectangular shaped pipe.
For fastening, the master uses pins made of a valve from the car engine. We fix them by welding.
Next, it will be necessary to weld a reinforcement - a piece of reinforcement with a diameter of 10 mm.
Using a grinder, the author cuts out two “windows” in a profile pipe, into which a piece of thick rubber is then inserted.
Then it remains only to strip the metal with a grinder (including the seams in the weld areas) and paint the tool.
