Valentine's Day is getting closer and closer. It’s time to prepare Valentine’s cards for your loved ones. If you want to please your soulmate, then there is nothing better than to make such a card with your own hands!

To make cards using the Quilling technology, you need:
1. A sheet of thick white cardboard on both sides.
2. Double-sided colored paper (pink and purple).
3. Texture paper for scrapbooking (can be replaced with plain color).
4. Curly scissors.
5. Scissors.
6. Glue.
7. Heart template (old postcard).
8. The line.
9. Pencil.
10. Jewelry at will (rhinestones, hearts, halves of pearls).

We bend a sheet of cardboard in half and draw a heart in the upper half of the postcard using the template. Cut out the heart. Tightly closing the card template, we circle the cut-out heart with a simple pencil so that the heart is exactly the same in shape, exactly in the same place as on the front side.

Using curly scissors, we cut two rectangles of different sizes from texture paper and glue them under the heart. Glue the small rectangle in the middle of the large rectangle with the back side. Decorate with decorative elements. On a white rectangle you can write (or print in advance) to whom the postcard is addressed or for what reason.

Now we are going to make paper strips. Using a ruler and a simple pencil, we ruin the sheets and cut them into strips. The strips should be the same width, I have 1 cm.

Now we proceed to the most painstaking, long and tiring work. We twist our strips. This is most conveniently done as follows. Having slightly broken the tip of the strip, we begin to wind it between the thumb and forefinger of the right hand, while with the left hand we correct the strip and support the already twisted part. We twist tight, but at the same time, without deforming the roll, it should be cylindrical. Lightly release the twisted strip to the width you like. I like it more when the rolls are rolled up tightly, but in this case there are a lot of rolls. It took me 4 sheets of colored paper. We fix the tip with glue so that the roll does not roll out.

We stick the rolls along the contour of the heart and filling it from the inside. You can stick randomly or adhering to any pattern. A lot of glue is not needed, slightly grease the bottom of the roll and for reliability we glue the rolls together with small droplets of glue.

We erase pencil outlines if they remain visible somewhere. Postcard for Valentine's Day is ready! You can sign it and hand it to the addressee.
