It is pleasant to receive an interesting surprise for any reason and for any holiday, especially if it is New Year. Indeed, it is precisely because of that that Christmas gifts are interesting because they are given in a particularly festive atmosphere, we find them under the Christmas tree, which is already unusual in itself. Any gift is valuable, especially if it is really presented with soul and love. It doesn’t matter what it will be, the most important thing already is that there is such a surprise, so it’s important to prepare it in advance so that it would be nice to give it to you and accept it as a gift to the person you are preparing it for. The most memorable surprise is one that is done with soul and love, namely with your own hands. Sincere wishes and kind words of congratulations can be left and written in a greeting card. New Year is a magical holiday, therefore, a postcard should correspond to this holiday. Just right now, we will make a bright New Year card of an unusual shape using the scrapbooking technique. Why unusual? Because it will be made of two parts, one of which is a folding shape, and the second will be like a cover-box.
We need to take the following:
• A sheet in a box for a pattern;
• Sheets of cardboard under the skin in landscape format in green and red;
• Several sheets of Christmas paper for scrapbooking;
• New Year's pictures;
• A set of Christmas stamps made of acrylic;
• Ink, acrylic block;
• Hydrangea flowers are green and red;
• Red and green yarn;
• Openwork puncher;
• Buttons of various shapes;
• Openwork red cutting in the form of an ornament;
• Satin ribbon of red color with gold lurex 5 mm wide;
• Shiny stamens, berries in sugar, green petal, small stamens, half beads;
• Double-sided tape, PVA glue, ruler, stationery knife, scissors, pencil;
• glue gun;
• Sewing machine.

According to the diagram shown on the checkered sheet, from the red and green cardboard we cut out the basics of both parts of the card. The diagram clearly shows the bending lines and cut lines that we draw with a clerical knife.

From scrapbook paper, we first prepare the decorations for the cover box.

We cut out two figures 9 * 18 cm from one paper. Then, from the other two, we cut out the card and individual stripes, which we make curly, using a hole punch. From the red ribbon, cut two strips of 18 cm, glue them to the green base.

In watercolor we make New Year's stamping.

The inscriptions are cut out and stewed around the edges. Sew pictures and strips on a typewriter, then completely stitch the scrapbook rectangles to the base.

We prepare the decorations for the card itself, cut out the following blanks from different sheets. We also make strips, glue pictures, strips and inscriptions.

All glued cardboard elements individually are sewn. Do not forget to cut another 4 pieces of the following sizes: 3.8 x 3.8 cm, 2.8 x 3.8 cm and 1.8 x 3.8 cm.

Glue the scrap of the workpiece to the base. We sew everything.

For a congratulatory inscription from watercolors, cut a blank 9 * 9 cm, make it curly from the bottom, stamp the New Year inscription at the top, glue a bow in the corner.
