Practical recommendations

Do you decide to create something for the house with your own hands or do you want to make a truly original gift to a friend? Then the unusual idea of making a home mini bar comes in handy.

First, chop a wooden log into two identical parts with an ax. Then, using a planer, make the inside of the workpiece completely flat. If you don’t know how to do it yourself, you can introduce a friend to the creative process. One head is good, and two, as they say, is better.

It is advisable to plan the width of the workpiece by bottle and add a few centimeters on each side "in reserve". Edges need to be processed with a planer and adjusted clearly to 90 degrees. Then cut the workpiece in half lengthwise. This can be done with a hacksaw or electric jigsaw. All irregularities must be carefully walked with a planer. The next step is the marking for the piano loops. Making a mini bar with your own hands is not at all difficult if you follow the instructions presented in the video.

Assembly and processing of the frame

Two halves of the future mini-bar are assembled from two pieces of plywood, the dimensions of which correspond to the format of A4 sheet, a blank and a wooden plank 10 mm thick. All elements are fixed with PVA carpentry glue and are additionally fixed with small studs or self-tapping screws. After the glue has dried, sand the halves of the box with sandpaper.

Treated halves are coated with a water-based stain - for a saturated color, the surface needs to be covered at least 2-3 times. Then the inside is upholstered in black velvet fabric. From genuine leather of brown color fastenings for a bottle and glasses are made. Interesting A4 photos printed from the Internet can be pasted onto the outside of the surface of the minibar.
