Do-it-yourself furniture always looks original - especially when unusual materials are used. In this article, we will tell you how to make a table with a frame from a profile pipe and a tabletop made of wood, stone and epoxy.

From the main tool you will need a hand circular tool (you can also use a jigsaw) for sawing boards and a grinder with a diamond disk - for cutting decorative stone. You will also need epoxy, sealant and spray paint in the spray can.

The main stages of work

The table frame is made of a profile pipe 30x30 mm. Using a grinder, we cut the workpieces of the desired size and weld the frame. To accurately fix the elements of the metal frame at a certain angle, you can use the magnetic corner, which is specifically designed for welding.

The assembled table frame is treated with a grinding disc and painted with aerosol paint in several layers. Then we cut off the substrate under the countertop, based on the actual dimensions of the finished metal frame. Boards for countertops are sawn into workpieces three meters long, after which we proceed to surface brushing (the process of artificial aging).

The second part of the countertop is made of decorative "wild" stone - first marking is done, and then blanks of the required size are cut off with a grinder with a diamond disk. Next to the frame you need to glue the substrate for the countertop, using liquid nails for this. Boards need to be painted and processed with sandpaper.

At the last stage of work, fill the countertop with epoxy resin - this process must be completed in several approaches. First, a first thin layer of epoxy is applied, which will fill all the recesses, and then all subsequent ones. After the epoxy adhesive has completely dried, the surface is ground and polished.
