Decorative wall decoration in the shape of a deer head will make the interior more original and unusual. Despite the compact size and accessibility of the material (the head is made of wood), the decoration will become a key emphasis in the setting of a living room or office, adding a unique style to it. And most importantly - you can make a wooden deer head with your own hands.
The main stages of work
We cut a rectangular block, stick a template on it and cut the workpiece using an electric jigsaw or on a band saw. Then we take a drill in our hands and polish everything superfluous, giving the workpiece the shape of a deer head. The result should be eyes, nose, nostrils and places for attaching horns.
We do the holes in the nostrils as follows: first we drill on a drilling machine, and then we cut it on a band saw. At the next stage, we cut another piece of wood, from which we then make "branchy" deer horns - for this we also use a template. Grind the head and horns and saturate with mineral oil.
To connect the horns with the head, we use screws. First, we drill holes in the head and screw in the screws, pre-lubricating them with epoxy or other glue. Then we drill holes in the horns and wind them on the screws, cutting off the hats. Next, we cut out the "stand" in the form of a shield on which the deer head with horns will be mounted, grind it and cover it with mineral oil. Wall decoration is ready!
