To make a mini spear with your own hands, you will need a piece of a saw blade for metal and one wooden chopstick. You will also need to print a spear template on the printer (it can be downloaded from the Internet).
We cut out the paper pattern of the spear, apply it to a piece of the saw blade, then circle the contours with a permanent marker. Previously, it is advisable to glue the template to the metal surface, so as not to accidentally shift it to the side.
Then we cut the workpiece using a grinder or drill with a cutting disc. After the tip of the spear has been cut out, we clamp the workpiece in a vice or fasten it to the table with a clamp, and form a cutting edge. For this, it is advisable to use a grinder with a petal circle.
The process of making mini spears
The spear tip must be tempered - we heat the metal with a gas burner, and then lower it into a container with oil.
For a more aesthetic appearance, it is possible to burn steel in a solution of iron chloride or citric acid. Then we make a longitudinal slot in a wooden chopstick, and insert the tip into it.
Cut off the other end of the stick, put a metal sleeve on it, and fasten two ribbons using steel or copper thin wire. We rewind the places at the beginning and end of the wooden stick with a strip of leather.
