With prolonged operation of the chainsaw, the chain becomes dull. You can understand that the chain has become dull by various signs: for example, you have to put more pressure on the chainsaw to finish the cut.
But the surest sign is when the chips are not large, but small. You can sharpen the chain of the chainsaw using a screwdriver and a special diamond nozzle for sharpening. It can be bought on Aliexpress (here at this link).
This sharpening method is convenient in that it saves time and effort. With a round file, this procedure will take longer.
Chainsaw chain sharpening
We install the chainsaw on a solid base (for example, on a deck or a stump). Then we fix the chain in the desired position. We insert a diamond tip into the screwdriver's chuck, after which you can proceed directly to sharpening.
First we pass one side, then the other. It is imperative to maintain the correct sharpening angle (about 30 degrees in the horizontal plane).
Please note that at high speeds the diamond sharpener works much worse, so it is optimal to use a screwdriver.
If you will sharpen with a drill, then try to set the minimum speed. After such sharpening, the chainsaw will be cut like clockwork.
