Moreover, the design of this chair provides for the possibility of adjusting the support platform in height. That is, it turns out a highchair "for growth." Very convenient and practical, while it looks original.
First of all, the author makes a detailed drawing of the chair using a special computer program. Then you need to make a template. For this, the master uses a CNC machine.
First, the lower part of the chair should be cut out of plywood, then the upper part. The rest of the elements can be cut without any problems using a jigsaw.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, using templates, transfer the markup to a plywood sheet, and cut it with an electric jigsaw. It is necessary to cut two side walls for a children's chair.
Further, the author with the help of double-sided tape fastens the template parts from above, and already guided by them, processes the external and internal sides.
At the last stage of the work, it remains only to connect the two walls together by gluing pieces of plywood between the previously cut in accordance with the drawing. And then grinding and edge processing is performed.
For greater aesthetics, the author decided to “close” all the ends with edged veneers. By the way, it’s very convenient to use a small iron for this: it weighs less than ordinary ones, and it’s easier to work with.
And the final touch is the manufacture of curly legs that will make the whole structure more stable, and at the same time will be harmoniously combined with the overall design. They are mounted on the sides of the walls.
The platform itself, on which the child will stand, is made of plywood and is attached with self-tapping screws to round sticks. They can easily be rearranged to the required level.
