For chickens, geese, turkeys and other poultry, fresh drinking water is a must. It’s just to constantly monitor its amount in the drinker - this is not very convenient and far from always possible.

Therefore, in this review we bring to your attention the idea of how, using improvised materials, to make a simple automatic drinker for poultry with your own hands.

To make a homemade drinker you will need two pieces of an inch board (or plywood), a piece of PVC sewer pipe, a 2-liter bottle (plastic), a metal tray.

The main stages of work

From pieces of board or plywood, it will be necessary to glue one piece of the L-shaped form (a rack with a base). For reliability, we fix both parts with two self-tapping screws. We install boards at an angle of 90 degrees.

At the next stage, we determine the location of the remaining structural elements. That is, you need to understand at what height to fix the bottle.

Next, we fasten a piece of sewer pipe, into which a bottle of water will then be inserted. On the base, the author glues strips of flexible magnetic tape (they are needed to fix the metal tray from which the bird will drink water).

Using a soldering iron, the author makes a hole in the neck of the bottle. And then you can start assembling the structure itself.
