In this review, the author shows how to make a simple homemade screener. This device is useful both in the garage and at home during the repair process.

The notch is a hand tool with which you can quickly connect pieces of a metal profile for drywall, as well as various blanks of thin sheet metal.

This device allows you to connect the workpiece without performing preliminary marking. Also, you do not need to use fasteners and drill holes. All this saves time.

First, cut off two metal plates with a length of 70 mm. We weld them to the profile pipe, leaving a gap between them for a plate of the same thickness.

The main stages of work

Cut another piece of the square profile pipe, cut a groove in it with a grinder, insert a metal plate and scald.

After that, cut out a small piece from the plate, and then weld two smaller plates to it.

In the first blank we drill two holes. As a result, we get two parts of the tool.

Then, from a piece of plate, the author makes a "sting" of the notch. We attach it to the first half of the tool, and connect it to the second with bolts and nuts.

At the last stage, two bolts must be welded to the inside of the handles and a spring installed.
