A clamp or plastic screed is a very useful little thing, with which you can, for example, clean up under a computer table by collecting all the wires in a heap. Of course, now one of the readers of the article will say that the screed in the store costs a penny - and it turns out to be right. I want to note that it may not always be at hand, there may be other reasons. Below is an instruction on how to make a reusable collar from a regular plastic bottle.
Such a clamp has one obvious plus, which it certainly does not have purchased - it's reusability. It can be removed endlessly many times without problems, and pulled and secured as many times.

  • Plastic bottle.

  • Ruler
  • Hole puncher.

We make clamps - do-it-yourself ties from plastic bottles


We take a plastic bottle and cut off the bottom of it. Next, cut into small strips.

Next, we cut these strips into even rings with a width of about 10-12 mm.

Here is a drawing of the end of the clamp, which will serve as a lock and fix everything in a tight ring.

At the end of the strip with a hole punch we make three holes, or 6 - connected to each other.

This is an option for a wide belt.

Now, with the help of an office knife and a ruler, we cut off the sides so that the tongue passes well into the holes.

We cut with scissors.

The result is such a clamp-coupler.

Now the application scheme:

It's simple: the first three holes of the tail tie comes in a row. And here is the last jump - the bend is done only after the screed captures the desired object.

Do not underestimate such a screed - her grip force is quite substantial.

You can make a narrow screed to pass through a single hole in a hole punch.

Clamping technology is the same.

It’s very, very difficult to break or disconnect hands.

Visual experiment. The clamp perfectly holds the carpal expander with a stiffness of 25 kg!

And now the screed is directly at work, perfectly fulfilling its duties. The free end can be tucked into the bundle.

Making 3-4 pieces is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. This will be enough to equip all the interfering and sticking wires under your table.
