Oh, how many open tubes with super glue were spoiled at one time ... The situation is standard: you need to stick some little thing. Naturally, for this we open a new tube with super glue and glue it. Next, close and remove the glue. But this is not the task - even a tightly closed glue in a tube dries and becomes unusable in the future.
Why is this happening? The tightness is broken and a sufficient amount of air has entered the inside. Or the lid was not closed as tightly as it might have seemed, which is more likely.
Although, to be precise, super glue does not completely dry out from the air. Its main component is cyanoacrylate, which reacts to moisture, which is just contained in the air.

How to avoid drying an open tube with super glue?

There is one very simple and effective way. We take a jar with a tight-fitting lid, which is screwed by hand.

We pour a handful of rice into it, at the bottom.

Next, take super glue.

We put in a jar of rice and tightly close the lid.

Thanks to this simple method, the glue does not dry for a long time.

What is going on inside?

The fact is that rice absorbs moisture well from the air, such a peculiar silica gel. As a result, dry air forms in a sealed can. That’s the whole secret.
Instead of rice, it is also fashionable to use salt or soda. So that the filler absorbs moisture as well as possible, it can be slightly dried in the oven. Of course, in general, ideally, use the silica gel itself, which can be found in boxes, when buying new shoes.
Now, even if the tube is not tightly closed, the glue in it will not dry out.
