Everyone can assemble such a simple regulator. Knowledge of electronics is not required, since a ready-made Chinese module will be used, which can be purchased for a very small amount. With all this, the controller is able to regulate the power of devices up to 2000 watts.
You can use the regulator to adjust the power of any electric heaters, various engines, power tools, etc.

Will need

  • Junction box.
  • Sleeve for wire.
  • A wire with a plug.
  • Power socket.
  • Regulator board order on Aliexpress - HERE.
  • Small screws.

Power controller manufacturing

Disassemble the junction box by removing the top cover.

We take the outlet and also disassemble.

Unscrew the side mounts so that they do not hang out. They will no longer be useful.

There is nothing more to do with the outlet on this.

In the cover of the junction box, drill a hole for the outlet.

We install the socket in this socket and fix it with screws.

On the side in the box with a step drill, make a hole for the wire sleeve.

We insert the sleeve and fasten with plastic nuts on both sides that come with the sleeve.

We pass the wire through it.

Now it's time to plug in the module. This is not complicated, here is the diagram:

To the screw terminals we connect the stripped wires of the network wire. And also we fasten a piece of wire to connect to the outlet.

We connect the wires to the contacts of the outlet.

With a step drill, we drill a hole on the other side of the box under the variable resistor of the module board. He will hold the entire board in the case.
We insert a variable resistor into the hole, fix it with a nut.

Put the handle on the shaft.

Close the lid of the box, collect the socket.

We screw the sleeve, thereby fixing the wire.

Screw the four box screws. The regulator is ready for this.

Checking the operation of the regulator

Turn on the network, connect the light bulb. Everything is regulated very smoothly, without any jumps and steps.

We try to connect the grinder.

How and where to use it, I think it’s not difficult to come up with: electric stoves, heating elements of water heaters, pump motors, etc. A useful and necessary thing in everyday life.
Friends, follow all safety requirements. The tension that is present inside is life threatening.
