If you suddenly decided to surprise your family and friends, especially the kids, then this truly unique recipe is for you. I will tell you how to make a sweet, completely natural caviar from fruits. It will be very similar to the real one, and therefore it can be used even for practical jokes.

Ingredients

To make orange caviar you will need:
  • The juice of one orange.
  • Sugar - 30 gr.
  • Water - 50 ml.
  • Agar-agar - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Refined sunflower oil - 0.5 l.

I think all the ingredients are available. And if you have never used agar-agar, then you immediately had several questions: what it is, where to get it and whether it is dangerous.
Agar agar - It is an absolutely natural food thickener. Often used not only in the food industry but also in other areas, such as medicine, cosmetology, etc. It is not only safe, but even useful, but do not forget about intolerance to components. Agar-agar is made from seaweed, so this is not some kind of chemistry, but a completely natural product.
Where to buy agar-agar? Most supermarkets have it and you need to look for it in the same place where ordinary gelatin and other confectionery and culinary additives are sold.

Step-by-step recipe for making fruit caviar

We put the pan on the stove. Squeeze the juice of one orange. Pour into the pan, having filtered it beforehand to remove the bones and pulp.

Add drinking water. I measure the quantity with half an orange.

Add sugar.

Pour agar-agar.

Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for another 1-2 minutes until all the ingredients are completely dissolved.

Let cool a bit. Then we collect the resulting syrup into a syringe.

We take a half-liter or other jar. Pour refined sunflower oil into it. The oil must be cold. Therefore, pre-cool it in a bottle or in a jar.
Squeeze the syrup into the oil from the syringe in drops.

Caviar nicely settles to the bottom of the can.

Then through a colander strain the eggs, removing the oil.

The resulting caviar is immersed in a bowl of cold water. Excess oil will float on top of the water.

Again we filter through a colander.

It looks amazing.

It was caviar made from orange.

Such fruit caviar can be made from other fruits. For example, from lemon:
