Santa Claus from paper

A constant attribute of the New Year is Santa Claus. We decided to make it ourselves. Even children can create it, because there is nothing complicated about it. To do this, we needed:
  • a plate from a set of disposable tableware;
  • Double-sided tape;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • cotton pads;
  • white sheets of paper;
  • colored self-adhesive fluorescent paper;
  • still additionally needed brushes and gouache paints.

First, we need to make the face of Santa Claus. Unfortunately, the set of colored paper did not contain the tone we needed, so I had to make it out of ordinary white paper. We cut a circle that is equal in diameter to the smaller diameter of the plate.

Now we need to paint it pink.

To do this, we mixed red and white gouache and put it on paper.

Then on a plate we glued double-sided tape.

Then they put a pre-painted circle there and stuck to the plate. Now we make eyes for Santa Claus. Cut them out of plain white paper.

Glue them on the painted circle inside the plate.

Next, draw the iris.

Naturally, it was possible not to draw it, but to cut it out of dark paper, and then paste it, but we didn’t have such a tone in the set of colored paper. Cut a mustache from white paper. To do this, you must first cut the strip, fold it in half and cut a semicircle at the bottom of the strip. After that, we straighten the mustache and paste them close to the eyes.

Now we cut the nose out of fluorescent paper for Santa Claus.

Glue it in the middle of the mustache.

As you can see, we already got a pretty face, but something is missing ...
Need a beard. We make it from cotton pads. At first we tried to glue them to the plate with double-sided tape, but nothing came of it. Then we used glue.

Put it on paper, and then put the discs. Now we need to put a hat on Santa Claus. To do this, we cut the plate at the top.

Then we cut out a triangle from a piece of fluorescent paper.

Since this is a self-adhesive paper, we remove the film at the bottom of the triangle and glue the headgear to the face of Santa Claus.

The triangle can be bent to give it a more believable look. Then we glued glue cut in half at the junction of the face with the headgear.

Next, we placed our Santa Claus on a carpet that hangs on our wall.

Then they decorated him with a chic beard made of cotton pads along the edges of the plate.
So Santa Claus will be with us before the New Year.
