Patriotic education is important for the further development of the child. There cannot be a fully developed personality without love for the native land, that city and country in which a person was born and lived for many years.
If you ask a child of a preschool or primary school age about those sights of his native city that he knows, then he will name the nearby environment. Rarely do parents take their kids on city tours, citing high employment. Therefore, videos and illustrative material come to the aid of adults. But, more emotions in children cause layouts. You can make a miniature reality of those important places in the city that characterize its history.
You and your child can make a layout based on photo or video files, impressions after a walk, or based on materials from scientific programs.

To work you need the following materials:

  • - thick cardboard (size 1m per 1m);
  • - colored paper;
  • - a book with hard pages (4 sheets);
  • - PVA glue;
  • - color and white cardboard;
  • - scissors;
  • - modeling dough (or plasticine).

Making a city layout

First you need to prepare the basis for the layout. Take a thick cardboard 1x1 m in size and a book with thick pages, in which no more than 4 sheets.

Pages will be revealed, and so the future layout will have four separate segments.

The book should be completely pasted over with blue colored paper.

A thick cardboard paste over green, creating a kind of texture from the paper. After glue the book on a green base.

Form clouds from white dough. And from brown and green - trees, bushes and spruce.

Then proceed to making the sights of your city.
For example, you can make a church. The base is 5 hexagonal prisms glued from white cardboard and interconnected. Top 5 towers of cardboard and black plasticine with domes of yellow dough, painted with golden paint. Windows and crosses are carved from black paper.

Another example is a red brick temple. For the base, you can take a rectangular box of juice and glue it with orange cardboard with a pattern of bricks. The shape of the domes must be conveyed using cardboard in silver tint.

There are theaters in any city - this is also an important place for the cultural development of a person. The base of the building is a rectangular prism, on it a roof - a triangular prism. In the foreground are columns of white paper and small steps of cardboard.

What a city without a military theme. Someone has a tank at the entrance, and some have guns. Make them easy from plasticine according to the photo or drawings. The gun is placed on a pedestal made of brown cardboard.

Here is a top view of the layout.

The child will sit for hours near the layout, examine its facets and think, remember and fantasize.
Let him stand in the kid’s room and he will choose what kind he likes best.

And when guests will gather at home, a small guide will tell them informative stories from the life of his native city, which will be preserved in his memory for many years. So from an early age and instilled patriotism!
