Life does not stand still, and all things eventually become worthless, and become untidy. Prices for goods are also growing rapidly, and the financial capabilities of our compatriots do not always allow overnight updating a wardrobe or changing furniture in a house. What to do if the home interior needs improvement, but there is no money to purchase new property? You can go one of two ways: either wait for the better times, or show your imagination and try to improve your life yourself.
Let's see how this can be done, using the example of an old sofa. A similar piece of furniture is likely to be found in every home. Such things are far superior in quality to designs made by modern industry. The restored sofa is in excellent condition - it is not shattered and not broken. The only thing that needs to be done is to improve its appearance, to make it more modern.

For work, we need the following equipment and materials:
1. Fabric in two colors (depending on the length of the product and the size of the sofa cushions).
2. Furniture stapler.
3. Staples for the stapler.
4. Sewing threads with a needle.
5. Scissors.
6. Sewing machine.
Work sequence
1. We release the sofa from the pillows, put forward the front bar.

2. Prepare the fabric for the upcoming work. We decided to use two types of fabric in the work (soft ribbed material in a pleasant coffee color and smooth upholstery fabric with a calm color).

3. We process the front bar and back of the sofa. We lay out the selected fabric on a flat surface and cut out the details of a rectangular shape in accordance with the dimensions of the furniture.

4. Using a stapler, we fasten the material from the inside of the bar.

5. We wrap the fabric with the corner of the sliding part of the sofa.

6. We fix the material on the back of the wooden part.

7. Fasten the fabric on the underside of the slide bar.

8. We proceed to the design of the back. Using the stapler again, we attach the cut detail to the vertical surface of the sofa.

9. The product will then look as follows.

10. We proceed to decorate the sofa cushions. We cut out rectangular parts according to the given sizes, not forgetting to leave an allowance for seams.

11. Sew cut material on a sewing machine.

12. So the finished case will look. After processing, you need to unscrew it.

13. Pull the stitched cover over the sofa cushion.

14. Bend the fabric inside the cover and carefully sew up the untreated side of the product.

15. In the same way we make covers for all sofa cushions.

So, without much hassle, the old thing gets a chance to live a second life. And the family is an opportunity to reduce the cost of acquiring new furniture. We wish you success in all further creative endeavors!
