For him we need:
1. Whatman or 13 album sheets of A4 format;
2. Cardboard (the area should coincide with the area of the sheets);
3. Adhesive tape (for pasting the picture);
4. Glue pencil (stick paper to cardboard);
5. 2 brushes - large and small;
6. Gouache or watercolor paints;
7. Ruler (for measuring individual parts of the puzzle and evenness of the sides);
8. Scissors;
9. Clerical knife;
10. 13 photos - from birth to one year (format 10 * 15);
11. A little patience, inspiration and imagination.
First of all, you must decide what format of photos you will use?
Sizing. The total volume determines the size of individual parts, protrusions and photographs.
Our puzzle turned out such sizes:
• General: 60 * 88
• Separate puzzles: 20 * 22
• Lug: no more than 3 cm.
• Photography: 10 * 15.
Only exact observance of the specified parameters will give us a beautiful and high-quality drawing.
Do not make our mistakes:
• We advise you not to make 2 internal ledges looking at each other - in this position, the photos do not fit a little on the site.
Phased work planning:
Step 1. Select a pattern. It is better to choose pictures consisting of disparate compositions: they are easier to perceive and look more beautiful if they are supplemented with photo inserts. Our choice is a composite composition reflecting the changing seasons. Motives and individual parts of the figure we searched on the Internet.
The child for whom the collage is made was born in September, respectively, the first time of the year on the puzzle is autumn.
Stage 2. Organization of the area for drawing a picture. If you work not with whatman, but with A4 sheets, you need to glue the sheets from the wrong side with adhesive tape.
Stage 3. Drawing. Insecure brush users may first apply a pencil drawing.
After designating the contours, we need 2 brushes of different volumes: for large and small objects.
Stage 4. Creating the base of the puzzle. As a basis, we take cardboard, which we glue to the paper from the wrong side.
Stage 5. Drawing the contours of the puzzle. After everything has dried, we turn our creation upside down with a cardboard and apply the contours of puzzles with a pencil or pen.
Stage 6. Separation of parts. We cut with a clerical knife along the indicated contour. To ensure maximum pressure and accuracy of the blade, we use a ruler.
Stage 7. Home "lamination". Tape puzzles with tape.
Step 8. We plan photo placements and fix the corners of photo holders made from the 13th album sheet.
Stage 9. Preparation of photographs. You can make captions to photos in the Photoshop graphics editor, or write all the data by hand, thereby adding a small composite element to the look of the collage.
Step 10. Attach the collage to the wall using the power buttons. We insert the photo into the corners prepared earlier and show our work to our child.
By the way, you probably noticed that there are 13 photos and puzzles 12. An extra photo is the first photo of your child on which you can write your birth dates and all indicators (you need a separate frame for it). The first puzzle will be the baby’s first progress in gaining weight and height.
P.S. Our daughter was delighted and showed her gratitude as she could: gently touched my cheek with her lips. We hope that your children will not remain indifferent to the work done by their parents.
