Handmade gifts are becoming more relevant and fashionable. Among them, a special place is occupied by topiary, it is easier to call them, trees of happiness. They got such a name, because an unusual ensemble of a decorated ball and barrel conveys the shape of a tree.
Topiary fits perfectly into any interior and always attracts the eye. It serves not only as an original decor, but also gives a sense of harmony.
To make the topiary, we need:
- satin ribbons for roses, 2.5 cm wide. Three colors are needed: raspberry, white and pink;
- satin ribbon for the trunk, 1 cm wide;
- hot glue (gun with glue sticks);
- about ten sheets of a newspaper;
- a branch for the trunk;
- a flower pot, preferably heavy, for example, ceramic;
- a small piece of foam;
- gypsum with water;
- for decoration sisal and decorative ladybugs.
The first stage is the longest and most laborious - twisting roses. Roses will need a lot, about 50 pieces. For each rose, cut off 50 cm of ribbon and proceed to twisting. First, bend the edge and make two turns, apply one small drop of glue for each centimeter of tape to fix it.

Bending the tape away from you every two centimeters, continue to form a rose flower. Do not forget to fix every second revolution with glue.

Roses should be even and almost the same size.

At the next stage, we form a ball for the topiary. To do this, we wrap one newspaper in another, crush it with our hands until a round shape is formed. It should be a ball about 15 cm in diameter. To prevent newspapers from breaking up, and roses to stick more easily - wrap the entire ball with threads, adjusting the shape to an ideal sphere.

Prepare the rest of the items: the pot should be clean, remove the bark from the branch.

We put the ball on the barrel. To do this, it is more convenient to first make a small hole with a knife, and then try on the barrel. If the trunk is 7-8 cm, then fix it with hot glue.

We start wrapping the barrel with tape from the ball to the bottom.

Trim a piece of foam. It will be needed to fix the trunk.

Glue penoplex to the bottom of the pot, of course inside.

Next, "plant" the trunk in a pot.

For a firm fixation of the trunk, pour gypsum solution into the flower pot. Leave to freeze for half an hour.

When the gypsum is frozen, you can proceed to decorate the topiary with roses. To do this, apply hot glue to each rose.

First we glue the raspberry roses according to the planned pattern. The figure needs to be thought out in advance. On this topiary there will be a raspberry rose in the middle.

Glue white roses around the first raspberry rose.

Decorations around the next raspberry rose are made of pink roses. We alternate the whole pattern in this sequence.

To decorate the bottom layer of the ball, it is better to turn the work. Glue with raspberry roses, tightly press them to each other.

In order for the topiary to have a neat appearance, we seal all the places at the junctions of the roses where the newspaper is visible with large beads.

It turns out such a chaotic scattering of beads on top of roses.

Gypsum, in a flower pot, cover with green sisal, which imitates grass. Glue roses on top, so that one of their edges adheres tightly to the edge of the pot. Decorate with a ladybug.

We tie a raspberry ribbon bow on the trunk and decorate it with three beads.

Exquisite home decoration is ready.
